An argument between two people has escalated to a mass shooting early Sunday at Boom Boom Sports Bar in San Antonio, Texas killing three people and critically wounding two others.
San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said that police were called around 3:35 a.m. (4:35 a.m. ET) about an altercation inside the sports bar.
The owner of the Boom Boom Sports Bar was about to close around that time when a fight broke out and spilled into the street.
A man allegedly grabbed a long gun from his car and began spraying bar-goers with bullets, striking five people. Two of the victims are women, the other three are men, all in their 20s and 30s.
McManus did not provide any additional details about the alleged shooter, other than confirming that the suspect is male and remains at large.
McManus added that it is not yet clear whether there was a connection between the suspect and the people who were shot.
