More than a hundred anti-vaccine demonstrators accidentally mobbed BBC’s old headquarters.
The protesters were unaware that the corporation had relocated almost a decade ago.
Videos uploaded online showed protestors trying to enter the BBC Television Centre in White City while chanting “shame on you” and clashed with police.
The mob was reportedly protesting against BBC’s COVID-19 coverage, vaccine passports, and childhood vaccines.
The building they stormed served as the BBC’s headquarters until 2012 but currently houses TV studios for shows like “Good Morning Britain” and “Loose Women,” while the remainder of the building is mostly flats.
ITV presenter Charlene White thanked the Metropolitan Police (MET) in a tweet after they prevented protesters from entering the building while she was recording her show “Loose Women.”
BBC’s digital correspondent Alix Kroeger later tweeted a photo of demonstrators outside in the rain. “The anti-vaxxers have now reached Broadcasting House, and the rain has found them,” captioned Kroger.
