Israeli authorities have inspected the offices of the NSO Group, following the Pegasus project investigation.
Defense ministry officials visited the firm’s offices on Wednesday, after investigation by a consortium of journalists revealed that they were able to access a leaked list with more than 50,000 phone numbers of individuals believed to be potentially targeted through the spyware developed by the Israeli firm.
“The company is working in full transparency with the Israeli authorities,” the company said.
NSO Group has denied the allegations that its spyware was being used by government clients to target journalists, politicians and activists for surveillance.
“We are confident that this inspection will prove the facts are as declared repeatedly by the company against the false allegations made against us in the recent media attacks,” the company added.
