Trump Organization Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg has to surrender to the Manhattan district attorney’s office early Thursday.
Weisselberg and the Trump Organization brace themselves to face criminal charges filed against them in connection with an alleged tax crime.
According to Weisselberg’s attorney, the Trump Organization’s financial officer is scheduled to be arraigned later in the day at a lower Manhattan courthouse.
The exact charges against Weisselberg and the Trump Organization, are not yet known.
Prosecutors are expected to unseal the first criminal indictment Thursday around 2 p.m. ET.
The criminal charges are the product of a two-year investigation into the practices of Trump’s real estate business.
The investigation, which was led by Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr., examined a variety of matters involving Trump and his namesake company, including the alleged questionable accounting practices related to hush-money payments made by Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen.
