A prototype flying car has completed a 35-minute, 86 km test flight between international airports in Nitra and Bratislava, Slovakia.
The BMW engine powered hybrid prototype AirCar, runs on regular pump fuel and takes two minutes and 15 seconds to convert from car into aircraft.
According to the car’s inventor and developer, Prof Stefan Klein, the vehicle can fly up to 1,000km (600 miles), at an altitude of 8,200ft (2,500m) at a cruising speed of 170km/h (105mph)
The prototype has completed 40 hours of test flights.
