Samsung’s China Display Manufacturing Unit Relocates to India

Samsung announced on Sunday that it has finished the construction of the display production unit that was relocated from China to Noida, Uttar Pradesh in India.

The South Korean electronics giant released an official press statement stating that the display manufacturing unit in Noida would be entirely replacing the existing unit in China.

A Samsung delegation led by Ken Kang, the company’s Southwest Asia President & CEO, called upon Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday.

The Samsung delegation reiterated the reason for making the transfer of the manufacturing unit as due to Noida’s stronger industrial environment and investor-friendly legislation.

The construction activity demonstrates the delegation’s commitment to India and its goal of making Uttar Pradesh a manufacturing hub.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath assured the delegation of all help needed in carrying out business activities in the state.

Adityanath also said that more job opportunities would be available for the state’s youth once the new manufacturing unit goes operational.
