Saudi Arabia will only allow access to shopping malls for those who are vaccinated, authorities said Sunday.
Ministry of Commerce spokesperson Abdulrahman Al-Hussein said only people who received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine will be allowed in commercial establishments starting August 1.
The spokesperson also said that events inside and outside malls will still be prohibited.
Al-Hussein reported that out of the 103,274 inspection visits they conducted, there were still 3,436 violations of Covid-19 measures.
On Monday, the country reported an additional 1,109 Covid-19 cases with 18 new deaths as the Ministry of Health reported over 15 million vaccine doses administered.
Saudi Arabia now has a total of 466, 906 cases with 7, 590 deaths.
