Saudi Malls Open Only for Vaccinated Citizens in August

Saudi Arabia will only allow access to shopping malls for those who are vaccinated, authorities said Sunday.

Ministry of Commerce spokesperson Abdulrahman Al-Hussein said only people who received at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine will be allowed in commercial establishments starting August 1.

The spokesperson also said that events inside and outside malls will still be prohibited.

Al-Hussein reported that out of the 103,274 inspection visits they conducted, there were still 3,436 violations of Covid-19 measures.

On Monday, the country reported an additional 1,109 Covid-19 cases with 18 new deaths as the Ministry of Health reported over 15 million vaccine doses administered.

Saudi Arabia now has a total of 466, 906 cases with 7, 590 deaths.
