Gas Station Explosion in Novosibirsk Injures 6

A gas station exploded after catching fire in Novosibirsk, Russia leaving at least 6 injured.

The regional branch of the Emergency Situations Ministry (EMERCOM) said that two of the injured were firemen.

“Six people asked for medical assistance, four of them were hospitalized to a burn center. Two of them worked with the Ministry of Emergency Situations who were the first to arrive to extinguish the fire. Currently, fire extinguishing work is underway,” said the EMERCOM when the fire broke out.

Videos shared on social media show large plumes of fire erupting from the station before exploding into a large fireball.

According to EMERCOM, the fires were not extinguished on time because gas tanks and cylinders kept on exploding.
