CamelBak Recalls Caps Sold with Podium and Peak Fitness Water Bottles Due to Potential Choking Hazard

CamelBak Products of Petaluma, Calif., recalled about 59,000 CamelBak Podium and Peak Fitness water bottles due to potential safety risk.

A small silicone valve in caps sold with the water bottles can come loose and detach, posing a choking hazard.

The firm has received 14 reports of the silicone valve coming loose in the cap and detaching.

This recall involves certain caps sold with CamelBak’s Podium and Peak Fitness water bottles with three date codes.

The company urges consumers to immediately stop using the recalled caps sold with the water bottles and to contact CamelBak for a free replacement cap.

There have been no injuries reported to date.
