A huge fire has suddenly started in the Shahid Tondguyanoil refinery located on the southern outskirts of Tehran.
Iranian media reported no casualties so far but the cause of the incident will be investigated once the fire is put out.
The fire is still ongoing but it is unknown if the employees were able to evacuate.
Various videos shared on Twitter have shown large plumes of black smoke rising from the refinery seen from a distance.
Iranian authorities have not yet made an announcement regarding the fire which occurred right after the mysterious sinking of an Iranian naval ship n the Gulf of Oman.
