Lufthansa reported that it delayed the departure of flight LH1487 from Minsk to Frankfurt on Monday it received a “security warning” from Belarusian Authorities.
“We are following the directions of the local authorities who are searching the plane again before departure and carrying out security checks again on passengers,” said a Lufthansa Spokesperson.
The flight eventually took off with all passengers after security personnel searched the plane and baggage.
“The information about a terror attack, that was received on the airport’s email, wasn’t substantiated,” announced the Minsk airport.
The flight delay came just a day after a Ryanair flight from Athens to Vilnius carrying journalist Roman Protasevich was diverted while in Belarusian airspace because of an alleged bomb threat.
