Qatar Red Crescent Headquarters in Gaza Hit by Israeli Airstrike, Two Dead

The Qatar Red Crescent (QCRS) reported that their headquarters in Gaza was allegedly struck by an alleged Israeli airstrike which left two Palestinians dead and injured 10.

“Major destruction in our office as a result of Israeli warplanes targeting two floors of the same building, opposite to the ministry of health in the Ghazi Al Shawa building,” said Gaza QRCS director Akram Nassar.

QCRS reported that the bombardment started at 6 PM, Jerusalem local time. Photos on social media have shown the Ghazi Al Shawa building reduced to rubble and covered in smoke.

“And that targeting the Red Crescent teams and its headquarters is a violation of international humanitarian law. It also affirms that it will continue to provide relief aid to the affected people in the Gaza Strip, in cooperation with the Palestinian Red Crescent,” said the QCRS.

Aside from the QCRS headquarters, a Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) clinic was also recently destroyed by Israeli airstrikes.
