Honda Recalls Off-Road Motorcycles Due to Faulty Drive Chain

American Honda Motor Co. of Torrance, Calif., recalled about 536 CRF450R off-road motorcycles due to potential safety risk.

The motorcycle’s drive chain can break while in use, causing the vehicle to lose its drive force suddenly, posing crash and injury hazards.

The firm has received two reports of the off-road motorcycle’s drive chain breaking.

The motorcycles were manufactured in Japan and were sold at authorized Honda Powersports dealers nationwide.

The company urges consumers to immediately stop using the recalled off-road motorcycles and to contact an authorized Honda Powersports dealer to schedule an appointment for a free repair.

Honda is contacting all known purchasers directly.

There have been no reported injuries to date.
