Cummins Recalls Diesel Engines Due to Faulty High-Pressure Fuel Rail

Cummins recalled 44,956 L9 part number D0K3003BX03 and ISX12 part number D563025BX03 diesel engines due to potential safety risk.

The sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes, allowing the high-pressure fuel rail assembly to leak.

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

The remedy for this recall is still under development.

The recall is expected to begin June 19, 2021.

There have been no reported incidents to date.
