At least four people have died while 17 others were wounded after a car bomb exploded in a Shia neighborhood in Sadr City, Baghdad.
An Interior Ministry official said a car bomb detonated in the afternoon near a marketplace in the al-Habibiyah area in Sadr City, which destroyed several shops and damaged vehicles.
The death toll is expected to rise as more ambulances and police arrive at the scene to search for victims and to secure the area.
The bombing came a day after drone strikes were conducted near Erbil airport and a Turkish military base in northern Iraq.
