“Promising Young Woman” to Be Streamed Free For College Students

College students are eligible to RSVP for free virtual screenings of Carey Mulligan’s dark comedy “Promising Young Woman.”

“Promising Young Woman” is a revenge story about a woman who lures predatory men to their death to avenge her friend who was a rape victim. Focus Features partnered with RAINN, America’s largest anti-sexual violence coalition, to stream the film for free on April 15.

The film was originally released in December. According to the press release, Focus and RAINN aim to bring up the conversation of sexual assault on campuses since 13 percent of all students experience some form of it at school.

Students can RSVP online at Focusfeaturesscreenings.com, after which a viewing link will be sent an hour before the screening time. A roundtable hosted by Laverne Cox and Carey Mulligan will be streamed following the screenings.
