Paris Hospital Shooting Leaves One Victim Dead

A shooting occurred outside of the Red Cross-owned Henry Dunant hospital in the 16th arrondissement, Paris which left one dead while the suspect fled and is still on the run.

A police spokesman said the gunman, who witnesses say wore a hood, fired several shots and hit two people.

The fatality was identified as a male, the other person who was shot was a female security guard working at the hospital.

Both victims were sent to the hospital for treatment but the man died from his wounds.

According to the police, the gunman fled by motorcycle and has not yet been apprehended yet.

“It was so fast we suppose it was a score-settling … If not, we think there would be more victims,” said witness Noura Berrahmouni.

Police said there are no known motives for the shooting and have not made any links with terrorism.

Police have cordoned off the crime scene and are still hunting for the suspect.
