Cannabis Company Donates $70,000 to Start Cannabis Program at Shawnee Community College

The nation’s largest aeroponic cannabis cultivator donated $70,000 to the Shawnee Community College to kickstart a cannabis work force training program.

Aerīz, a cannabis company most known for its enviromentally-friendly production, made the donation to continue union job growth in the local area according to the aerīz General Manager Steve Bundy.

As part of the agreement, Shawnee will design a curriculum that focuses on horticulture, logistics and inventory.

Aerīz announced plans to bring nearly 300 jobs to the county this year alone. Grower, trimming agent and delivery driver are among the careers aerīz is currently recruiting for.

As part of the new curriculum, aerīz also plans to offer related internships at the college in the near future.
