A gunman opened fire at a cabinet manufacturing company in Bryan, Texas on April 8, killing one person and injuring five, police said.

Bryan Police Department added that those injured has been transported to a hospital and that four of them were in critical condition. A sixth person had a medical-related emergency.
Governor Greg Abbott said that a suspect — whose name was not immediately released — has been arrested.
The police department confirmed the suspect to be an employee of the Kent Moore Cabinets, but a motive is yet to be known.
“The state will assist in any way needed to help prosecute the suspect,” Abbott said in a statement.
The Texas Department of Public Safety also said that one of its troopers was shot while pursuing the suspect. His condition is serious, but stable.
The shooting came just hours after President Joe Biden announced a series of executive actions to tackle gun violence in the country, describing it as an “epidemic and international embarrassment.”
