US Authorities Apprehend Two Yemeni Terrorists Attempting to Cross Mexican Border

Customs and Border Protection (CBP) disclosed that two Yemeni men on a terror watch list were recently apprehended in separate incidents attempting to illegally cross the border with Mexico.

The two subjects were arrested in January and March near a port of entry in California. Both are on the ‘no-fly’ list.

The first suspect, aged 33, was arrested on Jan. 29  near a port of entry in Calexico, California, was reportedly not carrying any contraband or weapons, but had a sim card hidden in his shoe. 

The second suspect, aged 26, was arrested on March 30 in the same area. 

CBP has not released the names of the suspects or provided any additional details.
