At least two Navy medical personnel were injured after an active shooting incident broke out at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland.
“We are aware of an active shooter at Fort Detrick, Maryland that has involved at least two Navy Medical Personnel.
Local Police have responded to the incident and they are holding a briefing at 10:30 am,” said Tommy Lamkin, a spokesman for the Naval Medical Research Center at Fort Detrick.
Frederick Police Department that the suspect has already been neutralized.
Aside from the police, ATF agents were also called in on the scene but no reason was given.
Both the police and the Navy Public Affairs have not yet released details on the shooting and the identity of the shooter.
