Indonesian National Police Headquarters in Jakarta Attacked by Alleged Terrorists

Suspected terrorists have reportedly entered the Indonesian National Police headquarters in Jakarta and have engaged in a gunfight with police.

A female suspect who entered the headquarters compound and pointed a firearm at officers was already neutralized but police are still searching for her two companions.

Indonesia TV stations aired footage of a woman wearing a burkha entering the police compound when gunshots suddenly rang out.

The woman was then shown lying motionless on the ground before being surrounded by police.

The incident came just days after a recently married couple detonated pressure-cooker bombs outside the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral in Makassar, the capital of South Sulawesi island.
