Vermeer Manufacturing Company Recalls Brush Chipper Trailers Due to Loose Mounting Bolts

Vermeer Manufacturing Company recalled 20 model year 2021 BC900XL brush chipper trailers due to potential safety risk.

The mounting bolts that secure the axle assembly to the mainframe structure of the brush chipper may not have been tightened properly.

Loose axle mounting bolts may result in the axle separating from the brush chipper, increasing the risk of a crash.

Vermeer will notify owners, while dealers will replace the mounting bolts and tighten them to the correct torque specification, free of charge.

The recall is expected to begin April 20, 2021.

There have been no reported incidents to date.
