Payment company Stripe was just valued at $95 billion on Sunday, making it more valuable than SpaceX or Instacart.
Stripe banked $600 million in its most recent round of fundraising, which included investors like Allianz X, Sequoia Capital, and Ireland’s National Treasury Management Agency, Stripe said in a statement.
At last valuation, Stripe was worth about $36 billion last year.
Stripe has since managed to triple its worth, making it the most valuable private company in Silicon Valley. It is currently about $20 billion more valuable than SpaceX, which is currently valued at $74 billion.
Stripe was founded by brothers Patrick and John Collison and has surpassed the $80 billion earmark Facebook did in 2012 just before its IPO launched.
The company’s latest round of funding sets them up to expand into European markets, while also hiring 1,000 more people to its Dublin office over the course of the next 5 years.
