Thai PM Sprays Reporters with Sanitizer to Dodge Questions

Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha sprayed disinfectant on reporters to end a press conference.

The incident occurred after Chan-ocha was asked about a possible Cabinet reshuffle, he told reporters to go away before grabbing an alcohol spray bottle and spraying the reporters.

The question was about the jailing of three of his ministers for their alleged involvement in an insurrection during protests seven years ago.

“Is there anything else to ask? I don’t know, I haven’t seen it. Isn’t it something the prime minister should know first?” said Chan-ocha before spraying the reporters.

After the spraying incident, Chan-ocha left the press conference,  avoiding answering more questions.

In the past Chan-ocha has already thrown a banana peel at a cameraman in the past, and in 2018 asked reporters to interview a life-sized cut-out of himself.

Chan-ocha was later filmed spraying the reporters again as they followed him.
