Myanmar residents have reported that government security forces have set fire to a railway compound in Mandalay and other locations.
Footage circulating social media has claimed that the railway compound located near 35 Street, Moe Kaung Cafe in Mandalay has been set on fire by security forces.
Another video has claimed that the railway compound in Bakayar, Sanchaung has also been set on fire.
There are no official reports yet from the UNCHR or aid agencies regarding the fires while the junta has not made any media statements since last month.
Most railway workers have joined the call for strikes since the start of the coup and have been staging protests in the compounds where most of them live in.
Security forces have already been documented burning barricades during demonstrations but it is still unclear how the compound fires started.
