Swedish police are investigating a possible terror attack in the southern town of Vetlanda which left 8 injured.
The suspect reportedly attacked eight people with a “sharp weapon,” before he was shot in the leg and apprehended by the police.
There are conflicting reports on the weapon used in the attack, some Swedish media outlets said knife but others said ax.
Among the victims, three were suffering from life-threatening injuries and a further two were seriously injured.
The attacks were reportedly done in five different locations around town.
Police have not disclosed the identity or nationality of the suspect but said that he was already convicted for other minor crimes.
Police are already investigating possible terror links due to Sweden’s current high terror alert level.
