SmartPool Recalls Children’s Helmets Due to Potential Safety Risk

SmartPool of Lakewood, N.J., recalled approximately 480 Bee Free children’s helmets due to potential safety risk.

The helmets were incorrectly advertised and marketed for children aged 2 years or older. However, they do not comply with the minimum safety requirements for children younger than 5 and pose a risk of head injury to those children.

This recall involves Bee Free-branded children’s multi-purpose helmets which can be used for multiple sports.

The helmets were manufactured in China and were sold online.

SmartPool urges consumers with children between the ages of 2 and 4 to immediately stop using the recalled helmets and to contact SmartPool for a full refund.

There have been no reported injuries or incidents to date.
