National Presto Industries Recalls Electric Smokers Due to Potential Safety Risk

National Presto Industries of Eau Claire, Wis., recalled approximately 25,000 Presto Indoor Electric Smokers due to potential safety risk.

The heating element/wiring on the smoker is defective, posing an electric shock hazard.

The firm has received reports of five smokers tripping circuit breakers and outlets.

This recall involves all units of the Presto Indoor Electric Smokers with Model No. 0601304 or 0601405.

The recalled product prepared smoked meat, fish and vegetables. The smokers were sold in black stainless steel and camouflage finishes.

The smokers were manufactured in China and were sold at Shopko, Sears, Kmart, Belk, Veterans Canteen Store and other home appliance stores nationwide and online.

The company encourages consumers to immediately stop using the recalled smokers and to contact the firm to receive return instructions, or return the product to the place of purchase for a refund.
