Dow Futures are trending lower this morning after a rough day on Wall Street yesterday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) falling 560 points.
Dow Futures are currently down $50 to $31,321 (-0.16%) with S&P 500 Futures up by $10 to $3,838 (+0.29%). Nasdaq-100 Futures are up 25.25 points at 12,857 (+0.2%) after the Nasdaq experienced its single largest day loss since October on Thursday.
The markets are being largely affected by yield increases as bond prices fall. Tech stocks were hit particularly hard yesterday, with companies like Nvidia, Apple, and Google’s Alphabet Inc. all seeing moderate losses.
European markets slump, with the Stoxx 600 Europe currently down 4.23 points to 407.50 (-1.03%) and London’s FTSE 100 down 105.81 to 6,544.15 (-1.57%).
Asian markets are trending downward as well, with the Shanghai Composite (SHCOMP) down 75.97 to 3,509.08 (-2.12%) and Hong Kong’s Hang Sang (HSI) falling further by 1,093.96 points to 28,980.21 (-3.64%). Japan’s Nikkei fell 1,202.26 points to 28,966.01 (-3.99%).
