Kuwait will close its land and sea borders in its latest measures against the coronavirus, except for shipping operations, starting Wednesday says the Cabinet.
The closure will last for a month according to officials, amidst an extension of the entry ban for non-citizens on Saturday.
The measures are similar to the one imposed earlier this month, with its citizens and immediate relatives exempted as well as domestic workers traveling with them.
The Kuwaiti cabinet also suspended dine-in services in restaurants and should only be available for delivery and take-home services.
This, after the Health Ministry recorded 899 additional cases with five deaths as of Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases to 184, 989.
