Explosives Reported Missing from Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms

An investigation is underway at the largest Marine Corps base in the country after explosives were reported missing by military officials on Tuesday.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) is currently looking into the disappearance out of Twentynine Palms Air Ground Combat Center according to Jeff Houston of NCIS Public Affairs. 

Officials have not said what kind of explosives went missing, nor how much.

“Out of respect for the investigative process, NCIS does not comment on or confirm details relating to ongoing investigations,” said Houston in an article by CNN.

Twentynine Palms in located in the Mojave Desert, approximately 150 miles from Los Angeles.
