An earthquake with magnitude 6.1 has struck the southern province of Davao del Sur in the Philippines on Sunday, authorities said.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) initially reported the quake with a 6.3-magnitude at 12:22 PM with a depth of 15 km at Magsaysay, Davao del Sur as its epicenter.
The PHIVOLCS also said that 44 aftershocks were recorded so far with the latest at 10:50 pm on Monday, recording a 1.9-magnitude tremor.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council has reported that at least 3 people were injured with several houses and buildings damaged in parts of Mindanao.
The agency also recorded a 5.7-magnitude quake at Davao Oriental on Monday.
