U.S. Marshall Shot While Serving Arrest Warrant in Baltimore

A US Marshal was shot Thursday morning in West Baltimore while serving an arrest warrant.

“Confirmed: member of the U.S. Marshals shot while serving arrest warrant in the 1400 block of N. Mount Street,” tweeted the Baltimore Police Department. 

Don Snyder, commander of a US Marshall task force said the team was serving a warrant around 6:45 a.m. when the suspect opened fire, striking the Marshall, deputies then returned fire and killed the suspect. 

The extent of the Marshal’s injuries was not immediately known but has been taken to Shock Trauma.

The identity of the suspect was not disclosed but was said to be male and was wanted for attempted murder and armed robbery.
