Radio Stations Drop Country Singer Morgan Wallen After Racial Slur

Country singer Morgan Wallen has been dropped from radio stations in the US, following a video of him using racial slur.

After a night out, Wallen called one of his friends using a racial slur which neighbors caught on camera, over the weekend.

Meanwhile, Cumulus Media sent out a directive to its more than 400 stations, “Team, unfortunately country music star Morgan Wallen was captured on video Sunday evening using a racial slur.”

“Effective immediately we request that all of Morgan Wallen’s music be removed from our playlists without exception. More to follow,” the media company said.

The former The Voice star has responded to the video and apologized saying, ” I’m embarrassed and sorry. I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.”
