Braun Northwest Recalls Vehicles with Liquid Spring Rear Suspension Systems due to Potential Safety Risk

Braun Northwest recalled 23 model year 2019-2020 RAM 4500/5500 vehicles with Liquid Spring rear suspension systems due to potential health risk.

The rear brake caliper flexible line in the affected suspension systems may have been installed so that it contacts a suspension component, possibly being the cause of excessive wear and a loss of rear brakes.

A worn rear brake line may potentially leak fluid, resulting in a partial or complete loss of the rear brakes, increasing the risk of injury or even death during a crash.

Braun Northwest will notify owners, while dealers will install a repair kit to each rear caliper and modify the rear brake caliper flexible line mounting.

The worn rear brake caliper flexible lines will be replaced as needed, free of charge.

There have been no reported incidents to date.
