The AstraZeneca vaccine manufactured by India, has now arrived in the United Arab Emirates, on Tuesday.

External Affairs Minister of India Dr. Jaishankar shared photos of the shipment on Twitter saying, “Made in India vaccines reach Dubai. A special friend, a special relationship.”

Meanwhile, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has added the vaccine to its authorized list of Covid-19 vaccines.

“The first shipment of the vaccine has been received from India, thanks to efforts by @MoFAICUAE (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation-UAE), in cooperation with the Indian Foreign Ministry,” the DHA said on Twitter.

The vaccines will be available to all residents and citizens of the Gulf state as part of the government’s goal to vaccinate the entire Dubai population by the end of the year.
