Antifa rioters have attacked Portland’s Democratic Party (DNC) of Oregon building and clashed with police while another group damaged several buildings in Seattle during President Joe Biden’s inauguration day.
Around 200 Antifa members marched and chanted slogans around the building and smashed several windows.
“We don’t want Biden. We want revenge for police murders, imperialist wars, and fascist massacres,” chanted the rioters.
Aside from the DNC office, Antifa also threw stones at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement building and lit several dumpsters on fire.
In response to the events, Federal police sent several officers and deployed teargas.
At least 8 Antifa were arrested in connection to the vandalism and the assault on bike-mounted policemen.
In Seattle, Antifa burned flags and destroyed several storefronts including the original Starbucks branch.
Seattle police have arrested two rioters who were carrying makeshift spears.
Similar violent demonstrations also happened in Denver, Sacramento, and Columbus.
According to the signs carried by Antifa that were seen on footage circulating social media and their chants, they do not approve of Biden’s presidency and that they wanted revenge for alleged police murders.
