Kuwait’s Cabinet Resigns

Kuwait’s cabinet ministers have submitted their resignation to Prime Minister Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, on Tuesday.

Kuwait’s cabinet ministers have submitted their resignation to Prime Minister Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, on Tuesday.

The ministers resigned after more than 30 legislators wanted to question the prime minister in a motion, particularly his cabinet’s composition.

The country’s Center for Government Communication confirmed that the resignations have been received by the prime minister, who will now submit it to Emir Nawaf Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah.

The move comes “in light of the ongoing developments in the relations between the government and Parliament, known as the National Assembly, and what the national interest dictates,” state media Kuwait News Agency reported.

The cabinet was formed in December 14, and was questioned due to accusations that its composition did not reflect poll results.
