EVR Foods, Inc. Recalls Blueberry Plant-Based Yogurt Due to Potential Presence of Mold

EVR Foods, Inc. recalled its 5.3 ounce Blueberry Plant-Based Yogurt due to the product potentially developing mold prior to the best by date.

EVR Foods, Inc. recalled its 5.3 ounce Blueberry Plant-Based Yogurt due to the product potentially developing mold prior to the best by date.

Eating mold poses a serious and possibly life-threatening risk to those with weakened immune systems. According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), common signs and symptoms of food poisoning are nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Individuals who suffer from asthma or any other respiratory illnesses should watch for signs of an allergic reaction.

The products were distributed to retail stores nationwide.

In response to this, EVR Foods, Inc. representatives have been coordinating with retail stores, instructing them to immediately remove the product from store shelves and inventories. The company has also issued a point of sale notice to its customers to explain why the product is being recalled and what to do if they have purchased the product.

EVR Foods, Inc. has advised their customers to return it to the point of sale for a full refund. They also provide the option to contact them for more information and concerns about the affected product.

There have been no illnesses reported to date.
