The protest action happened after Trump who lost the popular and electoral college vote denied the results and urged his supporters to attend the rallies in the nation’s capital.

Police tried to hold back hundreds of supporters who charged through their line and scaled barricades.

The supporters managed to tear down four layers of fencing and overran riot police.

Footage shared on Twitter has shown the supporters waving flags and chanting “America” and USA while urging others to storm the Capitol.

In response to the commotion, Capitol Police ordered staff from the Library of Congress James Madison Memorial Building and the Cannon House Office Building to evacuate.

The Capitol police have locked down the Capitol building and told those ordered to evacuate to use escape tunnels that are connected to nearby buildings.

A shelter in place order was issued as the Trump supporters continue to use violence on Capitol police.

Police are now seen on video deploying tear gas and using batons against the aggressive supporters.

Vice President Mike Pence was just escorted out of Senate by secret service after he rejected Trump’s call to overturn Biden’s election.

Trump supporters have managed to break inside the Capitol and have gathered outside the Senate Chamber.

The Senate and the House have reportedly gone into recess and evacuated as the situation inside the Capitol escalates.

This is a breaking story.
