The Venezuelan regime announced on Wednesday morning that it has signed a contract with Russian authorities to buy 10 million doses of Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccines.

During a press conference at the Miraflores Presidential Palace in capital Caracas, Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro said that every single person in the nation will be vaccinated, regardless of their nationality.

“We signed another agreement with Moscow to access more medical supplies. Thank you, President Putin. We will use these vaccines to fight against the virus and return to our normal lives. Everyone will be vaccinated, every single Venezuelan citizen will get the vaccine, and those who weren’t born in this country but live with us will get it as well,” Maduro said.

He also said that Venezuelan authorities are aiming to vaccinate 10 million people within 90 days free of charge. According to figures compiled by the US Johns Hopkins University, Venezuela has 112,636 cases and 1,018 deaths from COVID-19.
