Stock Market Closes Trading Session with Gains

The US stock market jumped as investors in investors in the United States and all over the world bet on a strong economic recovery next year on the back of vaccine rollouts.

On Wednesday, the Dow Jones jumped 0.24 percent to close at 30,409.56, while the S&P 500 jumped 0.13 percent to close at 3,732.04, and the Nasdaq 100 jumped 0.15 percent to close at 12,845.36.

In Asia, the HSI jumped 2.18 percent to be at 27147.11, while Japan’s NIKKEI fell 0.45 percent to be at 27444.17, and China’s SHANGHAI jumped 1.05 percent to be at 3414.45. In European markets, the STOXX fell 0.20 percent to be at 3118.32 and the FTSE fell 0.71 percent to be at 6555.82.

In commodities, oil prices fell 0.25 percent to be at $48,28 per barrel, while natural gas prices jumped 0.25 percent to be at $2,43 per BTU.

Meanwhile, platinum prices jumped 0.13 percent to be at $1,074 per ounce while copper prices fell 0.03 percent to be at $3,55 per pound. Also, gold prices jumped 0.04 percent to be at $1,894 per ounce and silver prices jumped 0.14 percent to be at $26,61 per ounce.

In currencies, the Euro jumped 0.0100 percent to be at $0,8191 per US dollar, while the Yen fell 0.0012 percent or 0.0098 points, and the Sterling jumped 0.0114 percent to be at $0,7379 per US dollar.
