US retail giant Walmart announced on Thursday afternoon it would partner with the Chinese-owned video-sharing app TikTok in order to sell items seen on a livestream by creators featuring Walmart’s fashion merchandise.

In a statement, Walmart said that viewers on TikTok, which reaches 100 million US users per month, can shop for fashion items featured in content from popular creators without having to leave the social media platform. The retail giant said that the livestream will take place on Friday afternoon on its profile page on TikTok.

Walmart also said that the livestream will feature national brands including Champion, Kendall + Kylie, Jordache, and some private brands like Scoop, Sofia Jeans and Free Assembly.

“It gives us a new way to engage with users and reach potential new customers,” Walmart’s US chief marketing officer William White wrote in a blog post.
