Leaked documents revealed that alleged Chinese Communist Party members have embedded themselves inside some of the world’s biggest companies. and consulates of western powers.

According to The Australian, the news outfit which has obtained the data,  at least 10 consulates in Shanghai have CCP members employed as staff.

The documents also claimed that operatives have also infiltrated some of the world’s biggest companies, including defense contractors, banks, and pharmaceutical firms manufacturing COVID-19 vaccines.

The operatives were allegedly holding positions in Boeing and Volkswagen, drug giants Pfizer and AstraZeneca, and financial institutions including ANZ and HSBC.

The documents also claimed that Beijing used a recruitment agency, the Shanghai Foreign Agency Service Department to infiltrate British, German, Swiss, Indian, New Zealand, Italian, South African, and US consulates in Shanghai and positioned operatives in senior, specialist, and advisory positions.

Despite the security fears raised, there’s no evidence within the papers that the said operatives spied on the organizations or government agencies they worked for.

The data was reportedly extracted from a server last April 16, 2016, by alleged CCP dissidents.
