The government of Singapore has decided to make COVID-19 vaccinations free for Singaporeans and long-term residents.

The Ministry of Health has proposed that the entire adult population should be vaccinated, however, the vaccinations are voluntary.

Healthcare workers, frontline personnel, the elderly as well as the vulnerable will be given priority for the vaccinations because they are the  ones at greater risk.

The committee has suggested to progressively vaccinate the rest of the population by the end of next year.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and the rest of his administration will be getting themselves vaccinated before everyone else in order to test that the vaccines are safe.
