Bomb Threat Reported on Russian Plane at JFK Airport

Police have conducted an investigation into a bomb threat on a plane from Moscow, Russia which landed at the John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Police have conducted an investigation into a bomb threat on a plane from Moscow, Russia which landed at the John F. Kennedy International Airport.

An Aeroflot plane carrying 250 passengers landed around 3:45 p.m. local time (8:45 p.m. GMT) after being delayed from its departure in Moscow.

“The police received a notification about the presence of an explosive device onboard and are working on it at the moment. As far as we know, they are searching the plane for explosive devices,”  said the New York Police Department. 

Bomb squad members swept the plane after all the passengers deplaned, no explosive was found.

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) announced on Twitter that the incident in no way has affected its flight operations and that they are still open.
