Russian Armed Forces Begin Mass COVID-19 Vaccination to Cover Military Forces and Personnel

Russia has begun mass vaccination for COVID-19 among its military forces and personnel.

According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, they plan to vaccinate more than 400,000 soldiers. 

There are currently 2,500 vaccinated servicemen and they are expecting to reach 80,000 by the end of the year. 

According to a statement made by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, the mass vaccination against COVID-19 in Russia is scheduled for 2021 and this would be voluntary.

Approximately 117,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine have been released into the market.

Two million doses are scheduled to be produced by the end of the year.
