Chinese Defense Minister in Nepal to bolster military cooperation

China’s Defense Minister General Wei Fenghe has arrived in Kathmandu to meet Nepal’s leaders and military cooperation to take the bilateral relations to the next level.

China’s Defense Minister General Wei Fenghe has arrived in Kathmandu to meet Nepal’s leaders and military cooperation to take the bilateral relations to the next level.

According to the state-run Nepal Television, Ram Bahadur Thapa, the Home Minister, has welcomed him at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Chinese President Xi said that he sees great importance to the China-Nepal relations and that he was willing to work with his Nepali counterpart Bhandari to further develop the continued advancement of their bilateral relations.

In October last year, President Xi said China will be able to provide Nepalese Rs 56 billion to assist Kathmandu over the next two years in order to help Nepal’s development programs and transform the landlocked nation into a land-linked country.
