Authorities have now charged four more students, on Thursday, over the beheading of French teacher Samuel Paty last month.

Out of the four, three students were accused of being complicit to the crime as they identified Paty to the 18-year-old Abdullakh Anzorov, who was shot by police shortly after committing the crime.

The students who are between the ages of 13 to 14 years old, were charged with “complicity in a terrorist murder”.

Meanwhile, the fourth student being charged is the daughter of parent Brahim Chnina, who then denounced Paty’s showing of the cartoons depicting Prophet Muhammad, through an online campaign.

The daughter has been charged with “slanderous denunciation”. It was later found out that the student did not actually attend Paty’s class.

There were three other teenagers who were charged earlier this month for also being complicit to the crime. The authorities are now investigating a total of 14 suspects.
